Hello Seniors!

As you prepare to graduate, your Chromebook will be removed from the Glenbrook management system.

To continue using your Chromebook with a personal Google account, you may need to perform a Powerwash (factory reset) on your device.



Powerwash Instructions

  1. Turn on your Chromebook.

  2. Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift + R.

  3. A window will appear that says “Reset this Chromebook.”
     Select Powerwash, then click Continue.

  4. You’ll be asked to confirm.
     ⚠️ This will erase all user accounts and local data from the device.
     This action cannot be undone.

  5. Your Chromebook will briefly go black, then restart automatically.

  6. When it powers back on, you'll see: “Welcome to Chromebook”
     Click “Get Started.”

  7. You're now ready to sign in with your personal Google account and continue using your Chromebook without restrictions!
