Steps to setup macOS out of the box
Inventory the device
Once ready, plug in power and open the top.
The device will power on. Go to Step 22 below
Steps to REDEPLOY a macOS computer
Power off the device.
Power on holding the option key (intel)
Hold power button until recovery mode starts(M1 go to step 4)
Enter the Firmware password.
Hold down the command key and tap r to enter recovery mode.
Select your language of choice.
Select Disk Utility, then continue.
Click on the arrow above the word View
Select Show All Devices
Select Apple SSD
Select Erase
In the Name field enter “Macintosh HD”
Select Erase
Select Close
Close Disk Utility
Connect to H225
Select Reinstall macOS, then continue
On the macOS Installer screen continue
On the macOS Terms screen select agree
On the macOS Install Destination screen select the Macintosh HD icon, then install
Select the United States
Click continue on select your keyboard screen
On the Select Your Wi-Fi Network, select Other Network, setup H225, then continue
On the Remote Management screen select continue
"Corporate - Dedicated" = (checking out computer to an individual)
Enter staging Username and Password, then sign in
Select “Set time zone automatically using current location”
Select “Turn On Location Services”
Munki will then start installing base app and programs
DO NOT sign in with your credentials before the user that will be getting the device!
"Corporate - Shared" = (lab or other multi-user station)
Enter multi Username and Password, then sign in
Select “Set time zone automatically using current location”
Select “Turn On Location Services”
Munki will then start installing base app and programs
