Parents and guardians can now report absences for students directly in PowerSchool. Please note that absences can only be reported for the current date or future dates.  To report an absence for a date that has passed, contact the attendance office directly. To report attendance on your mobile device, access PowerSchool through your device’s browser. Do not use the PowerSchool mobile app.

Step 1: Go to and enter your username and password.  If you need assistance logging in, contact the Help Desk at (847) 486-4555.

If there are multiple students in the family that attend the school, select the student for whom you will be entering attendance in the top left corner.

Step 2: In the left navigation pane, scroll down and select Attendance Monitor. 

Step 3: Click the Report New Attendance button.

Step 4: Enter the following information: 

  1. Absence Date: Enter the date or date range for which the student will be absent. For a single day, enter just the start date. For multiple days, enter the start and end dates.
  2. What is the reason for the absence?: Select the reason from the drop-down menu.
  3. Is this absence for the whole day? Select “Yes” if the student will be absent for the whole day.  Select “No” and enter the time range for a partial absence.
  4. Explanation: Enter a brief description as to why the student is absent. This field must be filled in to submit.

Step 5: Click Submit
