You just swapped out your device and now you'd like to recreate your work environment on your new computer. Below is a checklist of tasks to consider as you recreate your workspace.


New Device Checklist

After receiving your new Glenbrook device, you may want to take some time to set up your device. This checklist provides some basic tasks to consider as you recreate your desired workspace.

Log into Chrome

Login to Chrome in the upper right corner of the browser. After you login, all settings from your Glenbrook Google login will transfer.


Log into Google Drive for desktop

  • Search for Google Drive on your computer and login


Reinstall any department specific applications 

  • Use the Software Center to install site license software; call the Help Desk for assistance with limited software.

  • Pixelbook: Any apps or extensions installed on your Glenbrook account should automatically load.  If you need to install any additional apps or extensions, visit the Chrome Web Store or Google Play Store.


Reset settings preferences

Settings to consider:

  • Trackpad, scrolling, resolution, brightness, font sizes, etc.


Desktop shortcuts

Recreate any desktop shortcuts/aliases that you want for ease of access.


Microsoft Office 365

The first time you open MS Office 365 (Word, Excel,...) you will need to sign in with your Glenbrook email and password.
