Printing a Class Roster

Teachers can print class rosters from their grade book program but, if you need a class roster for attendance or other purposes, two methods of printing a roster are listed below. The first provides simply a list of students. The second provides boxes and days of the week specifically for an attendance list.

Printing a list of students

This report will provide a list of names and any other fields you want to include in the roster list. Once setup, it will retain the fields you include until you change them.


  1. From the Start Page, click on Teacher Schedules.

  2. Select the teacher you want and click on the Enrollment Number for the class you want to print.

  3. Click Make Current Student Selection.

  4. While on the Group Functions screen, click on List Students.

  5. In the List Students screen:

    1. Enter your Report Title (e.g. Name of teacher, course, and room number)

    2. Include any fields you want in the report (e.g. Student_Number, LastFirst, etc.)

      1. Add columns for attendance (e.g. days of the week, dates, etc.)

    3. Make sure “Gridlines” is checked for ease of reading

    4. Enter field you want to sort by, if necessary

    5. Click Submit

  6. Click the Print icon to print the list.



Printing a list of students with attendance grid

This method involves some setup but, once configured, will preserve the setup and can be run with a few clicks of the mouse. It includes a grid for days of the week and attendance, if desired.


Setting up the report:

  1. From the Start Page, click on System Reports.

  2. Scroll down under the Student Listings section and click on Class Rosters (PDF).

  3. Select the teacher(s) and Meetings (period/block) for whom you want to print a roster. Leave the meeting selection blank to choose all meetings for the selected teachers.

  4. Include students who Are currently enrolled in the class.

  5. After “Heading Text” you can select the fields you want to include or copy and paste the red text to include Section info, Teacher name, period number and room number:    

Teacher: ~(SectionInfo_guid)~(teachername) - ~(Expression) - Room: ~(Room)

  1. Below “Roster Font”, enter 17 after Size, line height, and style.



  1. After “Roster columns” you can include any student fields you want to include. To print the class roster and a week long attendance grid, copy the red text and paste it into the text box after “Roster Columns”:

  1. Edit the rest of the fields as pictured below:



  1. Click Submit. This report will be sent to the Report Queue. You might need to click Refresh before you can View your report.

  2. Once available, click View to view your PDF report and print.
